Who is responsible

What is collected

• From the contact form: your name, your email, your phone number if you give it, your child's school year or age, and what you tell Sophie about your child
• Once lessons start: assessment results, lesson notes and progress records

The contact form does not ask for your child's name. Online lessons are not recorded.

What it is used for

Sophie uses it to teach your child and to keep in touch with you. It is never sold, and it is not shared with anyone else unless you ask in writing, for example to send something to your child's school.

Services that handle it

The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Messages sent through the contact form reach Sophie through Resend, an email delivery service, and her email is provided by Proton Mail.

How long it is kept

If you send an enquiry and do not become a client, Sophie keeps it for up to 12 months and then deletes it.

If you become a client, Sophie keeps your records for as long as lessons continue, and then for six years after the work ends. Invoices and payment records are kept for six years because HMRC requires it.

Your rights

You can ask to see what is held about you and your child, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email Sophie at sophie@dyslexiasorted.com and she will sort it out.

If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. The typeface is served from this site rather than from another company, so visiting this page tells nobody else that you were here.
