Prices
- One to one lesson, one hour, in person £80
- One to one lesson, one hour, online £70
- Initial teaching assessment, including a strengths and needs grid £250

What the assessment price covers
Two or three hours with your child, split across sessions, all the scoring and analysis afterwards, a strengths and needs grid setting out what your child does well and what is getting in the way, and a conversation with Sophie about what it all means.
The assessment comes before any lessons start. It is a teaching assessment, not a diagnosis of dyslexia.
Paying
Payment is by bank transfer, in advance. The initial assessment is paid when it is booked, and lessons are invoiced at the start of each month, with payment due before the first lesson of that month.
If you need to cancel
Please give at least 24 hours' notice. Lessons cancelled with less notice than that are charged in full.
If your child is ill, get in touch as soon as you can, and Sophie will decide each case individually.
Travel
Sophie travels to families within about an hour of Tooting, mainly in Balham, Wandsworth, Wimbledon, Streatham and Clapham. There is no travel charge within a 20-minute journey. For a longer journey, the travel charge is £15 a lesson. If you live further away, mention it on the free call and Sophie will talk it through with you.
